SAFEGUARDING POLICY

Protecting Your Safety & Wellbeing

Safeguarding is central to my practice. I am committed to protecting the wellbeing, rights and safety of every client I work with.

Last Updated: August 2026

Introduction

As a Licensed Therapist (NCPS UK), safeguarding is central to my practice. I am committed to protecting the wellbeing, rights, and safety of every client I work with. My safeguarding approach is grounded in trauma-informed practice, professional ethics, and UK safeguarding guidelines.

My Commitment

I ensure that all clients are supported in an environment that is safe, respectful, and free from harm. Safeguarding applies to adults of all ages, backgrounds, and identities, and I take every concern seriously.

Confidentiality & When It Must Be Broken

Everything shared in therapy is confidential. However, if I believe there is a risk of serious harm to you or someone else, I may need to share information with appropriate services to ensure safety. I will always aim to discuss this with you first, unless doing so increases risk.

Working With Vulnerable Adults

I am trained to recognise signs of emotional distress, trauma responses, and safeguarding concerns in vulnerable adults. My approach is gentle, culturally aware, and grounded in respect for each client’s lived experience.
